Comparing Consoles

A Young Lady with her arms out to her sides with her palms face up. She has a questioning unsure look on her face.

When you look at the Consoles it can be hard to tell them apart. The design of the R618 model is a little different looking. Both of them have dual backlit displays. One of the displays will always remain visible even if you use the media shelf and have a device on it. The console has tilting abilities to get the best view solely from your point of view.

They both come packed with 29 Preprogrammed Workouts and 25 Resistance Levels. Each bike allows up to 4 Users to customize a profile. They include Bluetooth Connectivity with the Nautilus Trainer 2 APP for your tablet, smartphone, and wireless heart telemetry.

As you can see the Nautilus R618 Recumbent Bike offers several more features than the Nautilus R616 Recumbent Bike. At first glance, it may not look that way but its apparent once you look into them a little further.

The Nautilus R618 Recumbent Bike has its phenomenal Nautilus Gel™ Seat that’s essential if you have a bad back. The warranty for the frame is an amazing 15 years! Where the R616 is 10 years but that’s not too bad either. The Nautilus 618 is a recumbent bike that has the resistance controls in the rear handlebars. They have them attached at the end of each handlebar.

Not only is the R618 equipped with Bluetooth to be able to run features like the telemetry-enabled heart rate monitoring system, but it includes the wireless heart rate chest strap. In addition, you get the premium weighted foot pedals and the upgraded urethane-coated handles for durability.

The R618 can handle a higher user maximum weight of 325 lbs and has a heavier frame to handle it. Finally, it has a longer electronics warranty of 3 years where the R616 only has 1 year.

My Thoughts

This is a thought bubble that's empty.

I put the features of the Nautilus R618 and the Nautilus R616 side by side below. Both of them are great recumbent bikes but my choice the R618. Why? Their trademarked gel seat is extremely comfortable. As I mentioned, I have chronic back pain, and sitting on seats with little to no padding can be torture for me.

The extended warranty tells me Nautilus really stands behind their product and having that extra assurance in case anything happens is always good to have.
