This image is from the Teeter FitSpine LX9 Review. It's the latest inversion table from Teeter.

The Teeter FitSpine LX9 has the FlexTech 8-Point Suspension bed.  This bed is built for flexibility and support. Teeter specifically created it for supporting your body movements and increasing your stretch. It is made to replicate the natural landscape of the spine. In addition, it has suspension points, acupressure nodes and plenty of lumbar bridge support to deliver optimal results. It helps to realign your spine by repositioning your back while inverting.

Perform and Function

The Teeter FitSpine LX9 uses a combination of gravity and your body weight to decompress the spine and stretch out your back. Inverting can provide relief from back spasms and knots that can develop in your back.  The following video goes over how the Teeter Inversion Table has reduced the need for back surgery for many people.

In a single randomized controlled trial undertaken at the Regional Neurosciences Centre, Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK. The results concluded with a significant reduction in the need for surgery.

Storing the Teeter FitSpine LX9

The Teeter FitSpine LX9 weighs about 74lbs and weighs the most out of all the Teeter Inversion tables.  It does fold up considerably easier than both the X1 and X3 to fold because it doesn’t have the guillotine supports that you have to collapse. It is easy to store once it’s folded.

It may be a little heavy and awkward to carry, but it can fit in a walk-in closet, or it can be put in the corner for later use. I like to keep mine folded up and close to my other fitness equipment so I can use it before or after a workout.

As previously mentioned, it is a little heavy, but what makes it awkward to carry is that it is top-heavy. Keep that in mind as you try to move this inversion table. But that is a small price to pay because you’re getting a really well-built machine that’ll last you longer and serve you better than those other cheaper flimsier brands.

Acupressure Nodes

If you have a problem with knots in your back? The Acupressure Nodes can be very effective for that.  The nodes can be placed wherever you want them.  You can also completely remove them if you decide they are not for you.

In case you are not familiar with acupuncture, it’s a 3000-year old healing technique of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture can improve your  body’s functions and promote the natural self-healing process by stimulation. This stimulation involves specific anatomic sites that are commonly referred to as acupoints or acupuncture points.

Stimulating these acupoints is often performed by inserting very fine, sterile needles into the skin. The Acupuncturist (person who performs acupuncture) may apply heat, pressure, or electrical stimulation to add to the effects. Some of the other acupoint stimulation techniques include: cupping, a manual massage, applying topical herbal medicines and ointments.

Acupuncture is not only used for back pain but several other forms of pain such as:

Headaches and migraines

Chemotherapy for nausea and vomiting

Labor pain

Respiratory disorders

Dental pain

Neck pain

Menstrual cramps

Non-specific back pain

You will find more often than not, acupuncture is covered by several health insurance policies. It is used most often for relieving pain. If you have never used acupuncture you might want to consider it? It’s safe, and may give you that pain relief you are looking for?

The Acupressure Nodes for the Teeter LX9 use pressure point therapy to wear down muscle knots. Causing them to release and let go. The nodes are very effective and have come in very handy for me.

When you use the Acupressure Nodes for the first time I would make sure you test them as you put them in place. If you can have someone help you. Do NOT simply put them where you think you will need them and then invert.  You could quickly find yourself in excruciating pain. The nodes come in 4 different heights. I know from personal experience that getting one of the longer nodes in a tender spot on your back hurts!

Deluxe EZ-Reach Ankle System

This is the Deluxe EZ-Reach Ankle System from Teeter.

The Deluxe EZ-Reach Ankle System has a nice long handle with a button on top. It’s really nice to have, especially if you have a bad back. After I have finished inverting to get my back to feel better. The last thing I want to do is bend over.

The Deluxe EZ-Reach makes it really easy to secure your feet in place and to get a  custom fit. It has micro teeth within the locking mechanism that enables you to make small adjustments. When you compare it to the pin lock system, it’s like night and day.

If you were not able to fine-tune the ankle cuffs, they may be too loose or too tight.  Being too loose or too tight opens up the door for a set of whole new issues. But you will not have to worry about that if you have an inversion Table like the Teeter LX9.

EZ-Stretch Traction Handles

The image shows a lady inverting on the Teeter LX9 Inversion Table using the EZ-Stretch Traction Handles.

These EZ-Stretch Traction Handles provide you with the ability for increasing the intensity of traction. It’s simply done by pushing with your hands. Allowing you to have total control for making adjustments.

While you are inverting you can push the handles away from your body. This gives you the option of stretching out your back more and further decompressing your spine.

EZ-Angle Tether

This image shows the EZ-Angle Tether used with the Teeter FitSpine LX9 Inversion Table.

The EZ-Angle Tether is pre-marked with settings of 20, 40, and 60-degree markers. You can set it and forget it!  Having your angle preset in place, you never have to worry about inverting past your set point. If you want to change the degree you are inverting too, that can easily be done. When you become comfortable you may want to remove it altogether.

Boarding Platform

Teeter Bording Platform for the Teeter LX9 Inversion Table.

The boarding platform for the Teeter LX9 is very solid. You will know the second you step foot on to it. They say first impressions are everything, right? But it’s true. If you were to step-foot onto a boarding platform and it was wobbly, what would you think?

They use a plastic non-slip surface for the boarding platform. It actually provides you with a little bit of a springy boost when you first step on it before getting on to the inversion table. The Boarding Platform presents an open and elevated experience. You have the arched frame that makes entering and exiting this table, super easy.

Storage Caddy

Teeter Storage Caddy for the Teeter Inversion Table.

The Storage Caddy will help you hold the contents of your pockets or personal items like your keys, phone, watch or other jewelry while you are inverting with your Teeter Inversion Table.

The Storage Caddy makes for a great place to store the Acupressure Nodes when you are not using them. Plus, you have a diagram on the front to use as a quick-reference guide for keeping track of your selected inversion angles. The Storage Caddy will easily clip on to the frame of the Inversion Table.

Assembling the Teeter FitSpine LX9

If you’re like me and do not like putting things together. I have some good news when it comes to the Teeter LX9.  It will arrive at your doorstep with 80% of it already assembled. To add to that, it comes with very straightforward and easy to understand directions.

They include a step-by-step installation DVD that really makes the process easier. I am more of a visual learner so I found the DVD very helpful. Then to take the visual instruction to a whole new level is the BILT app.

This app shows virtual step-by-step instructions on how to finish putting together the Teeter LX9. TheBILT app really takes advantage of modern visual technology.

It allows you to zoom in and out, and rotate the image until you get the best view for assembling the table. It’s very detailed,  showing you exactly where to put bolts and lets you know if the table is assembled correctly or not.
