An inversion table really is a great tool for curbing back pain. The Teeter Fitspine X3 is the only inversion table you will find that is registered with the FDA as a 501(k) medical device for sciatica, muscle spasms, muscle tension, back pain and a variety of other back-related conditions.
People will often feel relief within as little as 30 days. That is more for sustained relief. Many people, like myself, will often feel immediate pain relief during and right after using the inversion table.
Always make sure you consult with a medical professional or your doctor prior to using an inversion. If you have pre-existing conditions like heart problems, high blood pressure, and glaucoma? Inversion therapy is often not recommended if you have any of those conditions. However, that is why its crucial to consult with your doctor or a medical professional first.
- It is UL certified and FDA approved.
- Has a customizable pressure point system built-in.
- Ships with 85 percent of it pre-assembled.
- Built with heavy-duty steel to ensure durability every time.
- It’s not easily moved once it is assembled due to weight and size. But you never have to worry about it tipping over when you are using it.
- If you purchase this product through financing you will not get the full 10-year extended warranty. Honestly, though that only makes sense if you really think about it.
TheTeeter FitSpine X3 Inversion Table is one of the best inversion tables you will ever find. Always make sure you consult with a medical professional or your doctor before using an inversion table. Especially, if you suffer from a heart condition, have high pressure or glaucoma.
Teeter FitSpine X3 vs X1
I have had some people write to me and ask what the differences were between the x3 and x1. They were considering upgrading.
Both the X3 and X1 inversion tables have the FlexTech Backrest which is very comfortable to lie on.The FlexTech Backrest has built-in handgrips that are great to grab onto if you want to stretch out your upper back and the sides. This is a feature you do not see very often with a lot of other inversion tables.
Both of these models come with the acupressure nodes, which are e for pressure point relief. They made the acupressure nodes very easy to install. You simply, pop them in. They are just as easy to uninstall from the backrest so you can put them wherever you need them. I am not a big fan of them so I remove them altogether.
If you have specific tight knots under your shoulder blades or on other areas of your back, the acupressure nodes will do a great job in those areas. They have different colored acupressure nodes that vary in height and intensity.
Another feature that both the Teeter FitSpine X3 and X1 share is the lumbar bridge specifically made for your lower back. The lumbar bridge can be attached to the backrest, and it fits perfectly under your lower back and can give you more stretch if you need it. It’s well designed and customizable.
It’s simple to adjust how far back you will rotate with the tether strap on these Teeter inversion tables. But there are some differences between these models.
The Teeter Fitspine X3 Inversion Table has the EZ-Angle Tether Strap that has the preset marks sewn right into the strap itself. The purpose of these marks is for indicating the inversion angles. Those angles are 20, 40, and 60 degrees. They have color-coded those marks for each angle.
When you set the preset marks on the Teeter Fitspine X3, you also have a good idea of where to set the strap if you want to invert at a specific angle.
When it comes to the X1 it does not come with the EZ-Angle Tether Strap but it does have a standard strap. This means that there are no preset inversion angle marks. The standard strap does not have markings and that can make finding a precise angle more challenging.
The best part about the EZ-Angle Tether Strap is that you are never limited to the preset angles like you would be with other inversion tables that use the pushpin type of mechanism. The pushpin type limits you to inverting angles of like 10, 25, 45 degrees, and so on. All Teeter inversion tables give you the option to set the angle anywhere you want with the strap.
For me, having unlimited inversion angles is a must. Everyone will use an inversion table at different rates and the Teeter Inversion Tables can accommodate that. Compared to the other inversion tables on the market where you are stuck using those presets. Going from 10 to 25 degrees can be a big deal if you just had surgery or are getting over a recent slip and fall.
Adjusting the user height on the Teeter Fitspine X3 and X1 is very simple with the height markers located on the main shaft. Just choose the height that matches yours and you can get started from there.
You want to make sure you can move in and out of rotation using arm movements. Another consideration is depending on your body type, you might need to set the height on the main shaft at a lower or higher height. This is okay even if it does not match your actual height.
Ankle Locking System
Let’s face it, everyone would want to feel secure when you are hanging upside down. The FitSpine inversion tables come with an ankle locking mechanism. It consists of a locking/release handle and the footbed which is what you step into, and the ankle cushions.
Both the X3 and X1 come with the adjustable height footbed, which is another great customizable feature. The ankle cushions have been contoured to fit nice and snug around your lower leg on both of these models.
The big difference between the Teeter Fitspine X3 and the Fitspine X1 is the locking/release handle. The FitSpine X1 comes with a short handle, and the FitSpine X3 has a long handle. The longer the handle means less bending over. If you are suffering from any type of back problem you how bending over is like adding salt to a wound.
When I first started having back problems back in the late 90’s I had sciatica issues and it was really bad. I would get a shooting pain that would start in my lower back and radiate down one leg.
Trying to do anything became a big deal as time went on. Bending over to tie my shoes got to the point it was impossible for me. Situations like this are where having the long handle on the Teeter Fitspine X3 can make the difference.
Teeter FitSpine X3 vs X1 Results
You can not go wrong with either one of these inversion tables. They both bring excellent value to the table (no pun intended) Both of these models are a lot alike, but they also have some dramatic differences.
My choice would be the Teeter FitSpine X3. My reasoning is that it comes with the EZ-Angle Tether Strap to make easy inversion angle adjustments. In addition, this table has a long locking/release handle.
If you feel that you will not need these features, then, by all means, the Teeter Fitspine X1 would be a good choice. You will also save some money. You can not go wrong no matter which table you choose.
